Support the one on one difference of volunteer guardianship!
Come have a Hoot and a Holler at our annual shindig, the Harrie Copeland Barn Dance fundraiser! All proceeds help to recruit, screen, train, and support volunteers to assist people in need of legal guardianship while maximizing their autonomy.
Grab your partner and your friends and get on down to Artie's near Frenchtown to enjoy a delicious BBQ buffet, lots of dancing, a drink on us, and the opportunity to win great prizes!
It is also an opportunity to honor two amazing individuals that have contributed so much to Volunteer Guardianship One on One and the community at large.
Kent Davis, an Analytics Developer for Mathematica by day, put on his Super Cape over ten years ago to become a volunteer guardian (now on his 3rd person), member and president (now former) of the VG Board of Trustees, and VG's IT consultant and ex facto Treasurer. One of the few certified guardians in the state, Kent has brought his empathy for others and passion for service to the task of ensuring that people at their most vulnerable have an advocate and a voice.
Christopher J. Phelan, President and CEO of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce for more than 15 years, is being recognized for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the Hunterdon County community, for recognizing the important contribution nonprofits make to the fabric of the county, and for his dedication to service.
